SUGAR SHACK ~ LAST TIME FOR THE YEAR?

The season is winding down and good days may be ending.  It was a fairly warm but windy evening at The Shack.  Typical turn out with some new cars showing up.

Maggie and Bill had something cooked up for Cindy's birthday.  They had SPAM announce her birthday and sing Happy Birthday.  Maggie brought cupcakes to help celebrate with enough for us to go around and share with the rest of the group.  They also got her (us) a California Duster for Mary Lou.  Bill has been saying if you have a classic car, you need one of these.

UPDATE - I found some pictures on the Facebook page SPAMtastic so I'm adding those in as well.

Now hanging with the rest of my supplies...

Jim and Sue Vitzthum came out in their pickup.

The '47 Diamond T below was quite a sight to roll in.  A nice gentleman (Phil)and his wife own this survivor.

Cindy's new favorite car ('54 Chevy) lurking behind this modified and slammed mail Jeep.

I was looking for a picture of my mother at the State Fair from 2007 and found the picture below of Maddy and Jacob.  I remember taking this photo but what stood out this time was the car in the background.  Now that I've spoken with Gary Pullen about his Mercury (above) and we have seen it at so many events I knew that had to be his car in the background below...

Gary said it was his car and Butch Jones owned the custom Ford behind the kids.  I showed Gary this photo and he got a kick out of it.  I saw Gary coming our way with a photo album.  He wanted to show us the progression on his Mercury.  His album went back to 2002!  As he said "you have to get ugly before you get pretty".  Very impressive and how nice to have that documented.  He even had a story and photo about picking up Potsie and Big Al from Happy Days😃

Getting dark earlier and earlier...a fun way to cap the evening as we were heading out.

Hello, Mary Lou!
