7th ANNUAL US VETERANS CAR/TRUCK SHOW - 2024

There were two car shows we considered for this day, and we feel we picked the right one.  We drove five miles round trip from home.  This show started at the VA Hospital grounds and last year was at Southridge Mall, but they announced this is the final move they will make.  This show was held at River Place on Euclid down by the Des Moines River.  The trees provided a nice background and we found shade under a tree.  Gary Pullen invited us to park by him and we ended up with a nice spot to show MaryLoo.  Oh, and we were honored to win a Top 25 trophy 😃

This guy walked up to us and said our car looked a lot like one built by Bob Clark.  I said this IS Bob's car.  A friend of Bob's from way back and they were in the Guard? together as MPs.  His name is Mike.  Also mentioned the name Bobby Aleesic (sp?).

Spent time visiting with a gentleman named Bob Kirby.  Bob was with a 7-year-old German Shepherd named Parker.  They visit the VA and hospitals.  Bob drove his '57 Ford Ranchero (see below).  He also told us he has a 1956 Ford convertible.  Had one when he was young.  His wife bought this one for him and all 7 grandkids put something on the car!

Love that 'Bird next to Frosty's 3-window.  And love Frosty's coupe...everything on it is just right.
