BENNIGAN'S #3 - 2026 (The One With Family)

When we knew the dates Jeff and Tera were coming to Iowa, we checked the schedule Bennigan's was having their car night that week.  That set everything in motion for a family get-together.  Jeff couldn't believe Bennigan's was still around.

What we couldn't predict was the heat continuing and it definitely affected the turnout.  We were hoping for a full lot to show Jeff what we get the see.

It was a fortunate night for an unexpected reason.  We parked next to Kris Koehler and his '39 Ford.  I was talking about things I need fixed on it and mentioned the glass and my plan, and he said he could do it all.  Window, brake light check, etc.  Gave me his number.

We had a fun dinner and topped it off with ice cream and a brownie!  The small turnout was fine.  A nice evening of hanging out.

This guy rolled in with his parents 1957 Ford and Jeff invited him over by us.  AMAZING car.

BENNIGAN'S #2 - 2026

 It was hot last night.  Our plan was to sit tight and let people come to us.  Even tried our portable fan.  Visited with a guy next to us with a cool 1947 International truck.  Then I spotted Gary Pullen's Merc and we went over to visit and found Sandy and finally Gary.  Ran into Cory, Kayla, Adam and Todd as well.

Met a guy with a 1947 International cab on a different frame.  Had a 6-inch chop on roof but more importantly, painting by Jim Hetlzer who did our pinstriping.  He texted Jim a picture of our car's painting and Jim replied he pinstriped our car at the 2008 Good Guys!

BENNIGAN'S #1 - 2026

 The first cruise-in of the year for Bennigan's was on our anniversary so of course we went.  A little on the cool side but we enjoyed visiting with people.

The couple is restoring this 1970 IH Scout themselves. She came saying she saw us at Dairy Queen.

BENNIGAN'S #2 - 2025

 Really a nice evening.  Low humidity and in the 70s.  We got there around 5:10 and still places to park but it did fill in. Allen saw us heading that way and ended up parking next to us.  He was nice enough to get some pics of us which we always forget to do.  Gary was there and Walt and Marie arrived in style in their 1956 Buick Century (says that right on the grille😀).  Dean Archer brough yet another car...his beautiful 1940 Ford Deluxe Tudor sedan.  We sat with Skip and he got volunteered into purse watching duty.  I met Scott Longstreet who was asked me what the deal was with my King's Food Host shirt.  Turns out he came to Christ at 18 years old at the Kings location on Douglas near our house.  He brought his 1953 Ford pickup (next to Skip) and he also owns a 1950 Ford Business Coupe.

This is a 3-door 1964 Chevelle.  Passenger side looks like a 4-door.
