OUR FIRST SUGAR SHACK ROLL-IN OF 2023

The weather cooperated and we finally made it out to a roll-in at The Shack.  Beautiful evening with low humidity and the sounds of The Band SPAM.

There were maybe 12 cars/trucks out so a pretty good turnout.

Two different angles on Larry and Jane's Plymouth...

Met a couple that pulled up in this nice 1963 Impala SS droptop.  Sporting a 409.  He said it was in rough shape when he got it and has tried to restore as close to original as possible.

I met a young man that drove up in this 1971 Mach 1 Mustang with a 351.  He's 22 years old and this is one of three cars he has!

ROLL-IN AT THE PLEASANT HILL DINER

This was our first time to the diner for a roll-in.  It was the first of the season for them and we were 11 cars/trucks strong!  Jesse was singing and we had a nice spot in the shade.

We had hoped to start our season on Tuesday at The Sugar Shack but weather did not cooperate.

Here are pics from the VFW (I was told there were 126 cars there)...

MARY LOU OUT OF THE BARN

On Saturday, I drove her to get air in the tires and topped off the gas.  It started to rain so I ended up washing her on Sunday morning with wind chills in the 30s!

There was a fair amount of anti-freeze on the engine I tried using Gunk...

Later on Sunday Cindy and I used Mary Lou as a "grocery getter" 😀
