BENNIGAN'S #1 2024

It's always nice to drive 5 miles to a roll-in so we went over to Bennigan's last night.  We weren't sure what the turnout would be because Karl's Summer Nights was on at the same time (at DMACC for the year) but it was a great crowd.  Had a lot of fun talking with people we haven't met before, and the cars and trucks did not disappoint.  It was cooling off and getting cloudy and we left so as not to get caught in the rain again (held off for another 2 hours).

This belongs to a guy we talked to.  Found it in a barn in Missouri. Said it was painted with a brush but done right mechanically.  I think he said his last name is Noyce?  We invited him to the VFW.

PRE-CAR SHOW WASH (AND POST DRIVING IN THE RAIN)

After getting caught in the rain, I wanted to make sure Mary Lou was ready for car show season.

So much for looking cool while doing it 😄

UPDATED POSTER - CORONET LANCER

We needed a new poster after I went and found out what we really have.  Cindy's nephew Jeff didn't an awesome job on the tweaks needed.  We gave credit first to Bob Clark for building the car and leaving Gordy on their because Mary Lou is not Mary Lou without that Hemi!

SUGAR SHACK - SPLISH SPLASH

It was sunny when we got there.  We watched clouds roll in and it got cooler and by the time we were smart enough to leave it started raining!  Our first time ever driving in the rain.  The wipers worked but I didn't run them very much.  Oh, and on the way home, the turn signal lever stopped functioning...it was like a wet noodle.  The right blinker is stuck in the on position.  The joys or driving an older car 😟.

Other than that, a nice turnout with several different cars including John Yaw's other Mustang.  Gary Pullen said it was in rough shape.  Looks straight now.  Black on black.  A '69 Mustang Boss 302 under the hood.

Jane and Larry made it out with the Plymouth

Here is John Yaw's other Mustang...

This car was not for looks only. Serious motor.

All smiles when the sun is shining 😎

"APRIL SHOWERS" (BATH AND POLISH FOR MARY LOU)

A weekend with temps in the 80s in April means time to wash off the dirt and dust.  Did just that on Sunday then took a cruise.  Stopped to get some octane booster.

Tire pressure hold pretty well over the winter.
Needed to top each tire off...checked at 40 PSI and need to be at 44 PSI.

A SUNDAY DRIVE

Took Mary Lou on a very windy 77-degree day.  Stopped for ice cream...what else? 😀

Hello, Mary Lou!

HELLO MARY LOU!
