ROAD TRIP! - PANORAMA DAYS CAR SHOW 2025

The heat and rain came to an end and with the change in the weather we were chomping at the bit to go somewhere.  Clear Lake was a big draw as always, so it came done to a show and shine in Knoxville or a car show in Panora.  We saw Gary and Sandy were asking who was going to Panora, so it seemed like the right time for us to spread our wings and take an actual road trip!  Mary Lou was built to drive...we just hadn't personally put her to the test.

Gary and Sandy met us at our house, and we caravanned over to Panora.  Two-lane highway once we got out of Grimes.  Not a bad drive and very scenic at times but it's still a two-lane road at 55 miles an hour in an older car so both hands on the wheel!

We were fortunate to start the 2nd block of parking just down from the band shell and food stands.  We each got the prime spot on the corner with a nice backdrop of old buildings.  I reached out to my fraternity pledge brother Chris Haner to meet up.  He's been wanting to come to a show, but he lives near Perry in Bouton, so this worked out.  He and his wife Beth were on their way to his 45th high school reunion in Audobon.

Hello, Mary Lou!
