We were planning on going to a car show at Acme Tool today. I knew I hadn't started the car for a few days so went out to get her cranked up. She started but when I went to give it some gas, the pedal went limp...no action. I looked down in horror and saw a confusing sight...the cable had snapped. It took me a while and some Googling to understand what I was seeing. Should be able to get a new cable. Will take some finesse to get it the right length and now working on who can do the work in our garage. This could have happened on the road!

BENNIGAN'S #4 2024
A lighter crowd last night. Not quite as hot and humid but still hot. Didn't get a pic but Gary and Janet Sanger parked next to us with their new SSR. Very sharp. Got the full rundown on it.
A nice gentleman named Steve parked his 1951 Chevy hardtop next to us. He was inviting people to Westchester Church across from Hoover for a Saturday morning car show.I ha
This nice gentleman has owned this Chevelle since 1965. It was a flood car and he bought from the insurance company. A body man by trade, he got it back on the road and very original.

3RD ANNUAL GRAND CAR SHOW ~ THE SHORES RETIREMENT COMMUNITY - 2024
This is the 2nd year we went to this car show. A chance for residents to come out and look at cars and share memories. A rewarding day with friends, food and great entertainment from Jesse.
Gary Sanger's new toy! They saw at a farmer's market and couldn't pass it up (for $300!). The wheels even matched.
The car below stopped me in my tracks. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. It's a 1947 Chevrolet Fleetline "Country Club" Sport Coupe. It's a rarely seen package. It was a dealer-installed option produced by Engineered Enterprises of Detroit. Sounds like the paneling work for this car done in Denver and Larry said they have 85K into the car. Driven by a 93-year-old! Car will go to his son (there as well).
Dash cam of the 1947. Look at that shifter!

Time for awards. Gary and Janet Sanger Best in Show. 2nd went to the '47 Chevy and 3rd was a Ford...might have been one of the Fairlanes.
