We were not able to go to this show last year but made a point of going this year. Cory's a good guy and we wanted to support this cause. This one was different for us - a late afternoon into evening show.
It sprinkled very briefly but the day felt like many different days due to either being cloudy or sunny. We sat with the Pullens, Yaws and company and had a nice day. Icing on the cake was winning a Top 40 award. They split '89 and older and '90 and newer.
We met a nice man named Karl White that owns this '62 Impala. Cindy was sharing her connection to '62 Impalas and Karl shared a heartwarming and heart-wrenching story at the same time. Karl met his wife scooping the loop. When they were getting married, he sold his 1961 Corvette to pay for the wedding. When they celebrated their 50th, she surprised him with this car. She is now deceased so really mixed feelings. He asked Cindy "you really like this car?". She answered yes. He said "get in darlin' and get your picture taken".
