THE VARSITY SESSION

August 11 will be 50 years since American Graffiti was released in the US.  I saw the movie with my friend Doug Street in December 1973 at The Varsity Theatre.  I'm going to do a Facebook post on that date showing a picture of the movie ad for The Varsity Theatre and wanted to have our car in front of the theater.  The movie kick-started my love affair with hot rods and classic cars.

I knew I had to go on a weekend morning so there wouldn't be cars in the street and my schedule finally worked out where I could go.  Amazingly, the entire street was vacant.  So I took a bunch of pictures from different angles.  The light wasn't the best but the hazy conditions may have helped...I like the way they turned out.

Here are the pics I got...still deciding between head-on or at an angle for my August 11 post...

Always fun to see your car in a window 😀

This is one option I'm considering...

But I also like this angle shot...cleaner on the roof line and you can see the front of the car

This makes a nice wallpaper for my computer

This is a cool shot.  The light was different at this angle.
